Founded in 2005, Cardiff Development Partners (CDP) is a fully integrated retail development company based in Westlake Village, California. The firm specializes in the acquisition, development and redevelopment of neighborhood shopping centers, mixed-use projects and single tenant retail properties throughout California. The firm and its principals have been involved in the development of over 20 projects representing more than 2 million square feet of retail properties that are occupied by some of the nation’s most popular retailers including Home Depot, Kohls, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Urban Outfitters, Albertsons, Ralphs, Vons, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Chase Bank and Starbucks. These relationships are held in high regard and allow CDP to minimize risk in new projects through pre-leasing.

As a privately-held company, Cardiff Development Partners can respond quickly to new acquisition opportunities. The firm prefers fee ownership but will consider a joint venture with the landowner. CDP will also consider fee development opportunities. The company has significant relationships with both debt and equity providers assuring a timely and efficient closing to all transactions.While $2 million to $20 million is the preferred transaction size, we will consider both smaller and larger projects.
CDP is proud to partner with the brokerage community to identify new market opportunities and facilitate the leasing of ground up and redeveloped retail centers. The firm acts solely as a principal and does not participate in brokerage fees. Furthermore, CDP provides fess protection to brokers that bring off-market transactions to the firm. Provided, they have the required expertise CDP gives those brokers submitting projects first priority for any post acquisition leasing or sales assignment related to the projects. All brokerage companies hired by CDP for leasing assignments cooperate with outside brokers .
